I'm new to Betta's, and would like to know what type of food, and what brand would be best for my fish?

My guys like the Aquarian pellets, and the Tetra bloodworms in gel - no freeze-dried here! The best plan is to include a variety of healthy foods, such as bloodworms, daphnia and even brine shrimp, along with a staple food such as pellets. Bettas do best on a varied diet since they're so prone to constipation (which is more than uncomfortable for them, it can be fatal ) so I would suggest you check your lfs for different types of foods. And, like people, different bettas prefer different foods, so buy small quantities until you're sure you've found something your guy likes

I have HBH betta bites, hikari betta bio gold and fd brine shrimp, and a small brand of fd bloodworms (small container and one of few that doesn't seem to come in cube form) that only one lps carries.
