Wow - I haven't been here for a while (luckily my guys are going GREAT ;D). We are moving next month to MI, and unfortunately have an 8 hour plane trip ahead of us! AAHH! I have to go in the middle of the night because of my dog (temperatures can get scary here in UT), and I was wondering how to SAFELY take my finned-friends with me too. I saw that there were a few leads on how to travel by car, but I was wondering how they will do on a plane? My guys are 3 years old now, and I want to make this as smooth as possible for them! Thank you. Newfishy

You should call the airline and check with them on how they require you to fly with the fish. I've flown with my cat before and there were some very strict guidelines. That was in the 90's and probably even more to go through now. Here is a link to an old article (12/28/03) about a girl trying to fly with her fish. It won't help you much, but you might enjoy reading it. www.post-gazette.com/pg/03362/255283.stm

Do you know anyone in Michigan close to where you are moving? If so, you could ship the fish overnight to them. Probably not the way you want to do it, but it would probably work.
Where in Michigan are you moving to? I was born and raised in southwest Michigan.
