So full that the breeder is asking linda, the transhipper for a special favor: fit all the fish into one shipping box
After careful consideration, I decided that yes, I really DO need orange plakat females. I spoke to Watt, the breeder, and he set aside 2 of the biggest, best spawn sibings of my boys. If you have not seen my orange plakat males, here is a look at why I simply have to spawn them:
Since shipping from Thailand is so costly, I wanted to buy more fish to make it worth my while. I selected this one, whom I have already named Vader:

I also had my eye on this guy, from the same breeder as both the orange plakats and Vader. The breeder is awesome and gave me a nice deal on him. He is tentatively named General Kenobi, or just "the General." I'm on a Star Wars kick, so sue me

I almost bought a bicolor SUthasine gold pair from Bluebettausa, despite the ridiculously high price, because it was my dream fish. Many people cautioned me against buying from him, and in the end it did not matter because someone else bought them. The very next time I looked at Aquabid, the seller of all the fish pictured here had an excellent red gold halfmoon up for sale. Not a SUthasine gold, but close enough. He's gorgeous! No name as of yet.

In an attempt to avoid a situation like with the orange plakats where I decide later I need a female after all, I immediately inquired about a matching girl. He had both gold and red gold; I chose gold. I was already getting a terrific deal on the pair, when the breeder told me he would like to give me a gift for being such a good customer, and gave me the red gold female for free!
So I'm getting 2 orange plakat females, 1 green black lace halfmoon male, 1 royal blue butterfly halfmoon male, 1 red gold halfmoon male, 1 gold female, and a gift of 1 red gold female. All quality fish from the same breeder, who gave me great deals on all of them. If anyone is looking to buy fish from overseas, I highly recommend buying from him and his family. They have gorgeous, ultra healthy fish, speak terrific English (and it really is a factor when you need to communicate or have questions), and are all-around upstanding, polite, accomodating businesspeople. I'll be spawning the orange plakats as soon as they are ready, so if anyone is interested, keep me in mind. I'll probably be spawning the red gold male with either the gold female or red gold female at some point, too.
