I will be making a 3 1/2 to 4 hour trip back home for Thanksgiving break for a week. Unfortunately, I am having problems regarding my fish.
Since I don't have a car and have to take the bus back, it would be very difficult/unwieldly to bring my two fish and their tanks (no space). Also, I do not have any treated water at home, and it would be difficult to bring some back.
On the other hand, I obviously do not want to leave my fish in my room for a week with no care.
Any suggestions? Staying at school is unfortunately not an option since I am not allowed to do that.

Maybe you can hitch a ride home from a buddy who lives near you? A lot of kids from my town end up catching me before I leave

I did the exact same thing when I was a freshman and I ended up putting my fish in 1/2 gallon bowls at home. They weren't happy, but it was only for a week.
