:'(My poor betta who I loved recently died due to old age. He wasn't himself for a while and after a few weeks he sufficated and died. He also had a tumor, and maybe microscopic velvet? I had him for 8 monthes so he was old when I got him. He was my first fish which means I made some mistakes on him which I regret, poor little guy.

Very sorry to hear about your betta. It's very sad when our friends leave us. Always remember the joy and happiness he brought.

Thank you for your responces I greatly appreciate them. I really wish things were different for the poor little guy but I've learned more about bettas and I can raise a happy and healthy betta. Not that spike wasn't happy. RIP Spike!

BG,
So sorry about Spike.
We all make mistakes, but his 8 months with you were (no doubt) better than the life he may have had without you!
