I haven't been online much lately, but Seamour deserves a memorial even if it has been almost four weeks since he passed away on June 3. He was my third betta and was with me since March 2002. In January 2003 he developed SBD which kept him on the bottom of the bowl. Since he had so much trouble surfacing, he lived in 3" of water for six months. None of the usual remedies for SBD ever helped him. Through it all, he was happy and lively in his shallow water. He continued to eat, although I reduced his food intake. Then on June 2 he seemed very weak and did not want to eat, and on June 3 he was gone. He was such a precious and beautiful boy. I am so glad he lived with me, and I will love him and miss him always.

Rest in peace little Seamour. You did wonders for him with all of your love and care Denise. I'm sure he was very grateful that he had you.

Thanks so much. All bettas are so precious and special, aren't they? So are all living creatures, but there's something about bettas. So many people have said they never knew they could fall so in love with a fish, and I agree. Seamour is right up there with the most special of the special!
