Bob George died

He's passed and I still haven't been able to bring myself to empty his tank.

The other fish I brought back to PetsMart and got my money back. I know that they are the reason why he was ill.

I feel terrible that I wasn't smart enough to save him. I thought that it would never happen since he was already 2 years old!!

I doubt I'll have another beta for a long time.

I'm really very sorry to hear he didn't make it. I'm sure that you did what you could for him and he knew that. Please don't blame yourself and don't let this turn you off from bettas forever.

I've had times when I was so frustrated because I was losing fish one after the other without being able to figure out why. Many times I just wanted to completely give up on fishkeeping. Instead, I did tons of research, learned a lot and now I am a better person and fish mom for it.

Please don't give up!

Again, so sorry about Bob George. You can only do so much, and his healthy two years in your care is commendable!

I agree with BettaMVP, don't give up on bettas! Take some time & then take in a new buddy.

So sorry to here about Bob George You shouldn't beat yourself up about it though, you did your best. Sometimes the best thing to do to get over it is get another fish. Bring back the good and happy memories that Bob George gave you. After my fish got sick and died I got another and now it doesn't upset me to talk about the first fish I loved and had for a while. I hope you consider this.

Sorry about poor Bob George. Sometimes things happen that are just out of our control and there is only so much we can do. I hope some day you decide to bring home another beautiful betta.
