She was such a pretty little crowntail, I'm very sad to lose her. She had developed dropsy and died within 2 days despite the meds. Poor little lady. Here is a pic of her before she got sick which is how I want to remember her. She is the sideways one.

Oh, wasn't she beautiful! I'm sure she had the best care in your trust. R.I.P. little girl.

Thank you all. I wish I could have saved her but it wasn't meant to be. BTW, beware of snails if anyone has them with their bettas. I think that Eowyn got sick from one who died in her tank and she might have nibbled on it. She was one of two females from the same tank who got dropsy. Annie, my other dropsied girl, is still hanging in there though.

Oh no! I'm so sorry. Snails are tricky....I had a hard time figuring out if mine was alive or dead. And that was when I had only one tank, so you can imagine I gave it a lot of attention. It's so sad when we do something to help our bettas have happier lives, and it backfires. Speedy recovery to Annie.

BettaMVP, I'm so sorry to hear about your girl. Sometimes you can't help but wonder why the lives of these little angels have to be so short. But please take some comfort in knowing that for the time she was here, she had a very happy life with you.
Rest easy, Eowyn.
