I am sorry to say that the very last betta to come home with me ended up as the very first I've ever lost. We only had little Spree for a couple of weeks; rescued from a cold shelf in a "big box" retail environment. She was very shy from the beginning and had yet to regain any sort of an appetite. She must have had some other, unrecognizable (?) ailment, though. Mysteriously, when I arrived home from work yesterday, she was no longer with us! Even though we were never able to see her "true colors," she was still as sweet & cute as could be. May you be well and much happier now, Spree... I'm sorry we didn't get to know you better.

I'm so sorry that the little girl didn't make it; it's hard to say what was wrong with her. But you were there for her, gave her a good home and some comfort in her last days, and I'm sure she was grateful for that.
RIP, Spree.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss of Spree. At least you were able to provide her with a nice warm tank and care before it was her time.
