Three sisters, three colors. Fusha was a light pink/white fish with bold crimpson fins and a double tail. She was the head of the pack, despite being smaller. Bred from show quality stock, she was culled and sent to the pet shop by her breader for a little black dot on her lip. Aside from that, you could't ask for a classier girl.
Kelly was a lovely teal color and while her fin types bosted no special breeding, he massive size set her appart. Her culling defect was slightly asymetrical fins. She was a pig and about equal status with Cyan.
Cyan was a lovely blue girl, her only short coming was the mild scoliosis that was probubly the result of some fryhood event. She was about equal in status to Kelly.
A few months back, Fusha came down with fin and tail rot and mild bloat (Swim blatter infection) I had to go off to school and didn't want to stress my sick fish with a car ride, so I left meds with my parents. Despite full treatment, Fusha died. I blamed myself for not calling about her condition in case the meds where wrong.
A few months later, Kelly and Cyan had a brawl. The open wounds let in what I beleave was the same pathogen. Within a day or two of the fight, each had major internal infections. Kelly was trapped on the surfice while Cyan sufferd at the bottom.
Conserned that I might loose them to not knowing the proper medication I went all out. All compatable antibiotics and a compatable anti-fungle medication where used. At first they began to recover, but then, the unthinkable, a relaps. I tried everything I had, each time they would start to recover and then relaps. I had the curse of all beta owners in the tank, multi-drug resistent bacteria! Kelly continued to let me feed her up untill the end. She died shortly after her sister Cyan Passed on. They where just over a year and a half old.
