:'(I am so upset. I tried having 3 female bettas in a 2.5 gallon, and 2 died. The other one is sick. I had just bought a new one at the pet store, which was a little nipped already, and my other two fbs ganged up against it. I am pretty sure it was mainly Flame, because she was the only one who wasnt nipped at all. Anyway, I found the new female betta dead before I even had the chance to name her. Then, I took Pansies and Flame out and put them in separate spare bowls. I didnt have gravel for Flame's, and since I have read somewhere that when they don't have gravel the bare bottom reflects light and they don't really like it much, I tried using a solid flat plastic piece that came with a mini-separation tank I previously used. Well, somehow she got stuck under it and died. Even though I had been angry with her for killing the new fish and hurting Pansies, I never wanted or expected her to die. I am so sorry Flame and New Fish. Goodbye finned friends. I feel like it is all my fault and I wish I could go back and prevent your deaths from occurring.

labxing790, I am so sorry for your losses It is so hard to lose a pet under any circumstances but it is much harder when you feel responsible in any way. I wish I could help you process the pain more quickly Remember that most of us have been in your shoes - feeling we did something that either directly or indirectly caused our fishies to suffer. We learn from those experiences and move on. Good luck - I'm thinking of you.

Oh, I'm so sorry about your gals. Sometimes these things happen no matter how careful we are. We've all been there. RIP to Flame and New Fish. {{Hugs}} to you. sef

I am sorry about Flame and NewFish. It is hard when we lose pets and it's easy to shoulder a lot of guilt over it. I don't think you did anything to intentionally cause harm, it was just a set of unfortunate circumstances. Good Luck with Pansies and don't beat yourself up.

Pansies died too. It was so sad- she could even eat. I was somewhat glad that she died because I knew she was no longer in pain.

thanks for your replies everyone. i have learned from my mistakes and will NEVER put 3 females together again, escepially in a tank as small as a 2.5 gallon. I am getting some new bettas soon, so at least I can look forward to that.

i am soo upset. my most colorful and unique betta, patches, contracted a bacterial infection. i tried to treat with JFC, them Tetracycline, but neither worked. And my mom won't let me get another to replace him even though I'm already ordering from BCbetta. i am so sad i am thinking about cancelling my other betta orders. Goodbye Patches my dear friend. for some reason my fish all die around the same time, which makes it even harder

I am so sorry. When it rains it pours. I think that you could cancel your order and take some time to regroup, or you could receive your order and start fresh. Whichever works for you at this moment and will allow you to give your best to any new Bettas you get. We all go through hard times, but fortunately they don't last forever. Good Luck and Hugs to you.
