Yes, in a big enough space. I wouldn't put anything else in a betta bowl, or even a tank under 5 gallons. Even that's best left alone, since most smaller fish are schooling fish. If you got a 10 gallon, you could put a male betta in with a small school of small, peaceful fish. Or you could possibly put a few female bettas together.

can they live with goldfish? Bettas are tropical, meaning they like warmer water. Goldfish are coldwater fish, which means they like their water a bit cooler than a tropical fish would. Goldfish are also very dirty, so they need big tanks. There's no chance of a betta and goldfish breeding, so it doesn't matter what sex they were, except for the fact that they just really shouldn't be put together. Amber
