A while back, i had gotten this Bonsai tree, which became 2 bonsai trees, which we added bamboos to them and put some oriental objectrs around them. I thought it'd be cool to have a little asian garden. well, one day i thought i should add a little friend to it, so i went out to the nearest petsmart, and picked up an all red male betta. He wa spleased with his larger area to swim and would partially flare at times. Once though, after cleaning his tank i could tell he was upset about something. less than a week later, i came home from my aunts to find him lying at the bottom of the tank, lifeless. i felt really really sad because he was a part of me. he was my first betta, and i felt if i knew more then, i may have saved him about a week and a half later, i went to a local, small family owned pet shop, and was looking the betta cages when i just fell in love with a little dark blue/purple bodied red tailed betta. i named him Hatori after the beloved fish i lost. ive had hatori for about 2 months and hes doing ok except for the great accident when he flipped out of a new while i was cleaning his bowl. i feared the worse when hatori II flipped out, but after watching him and giving him steady food, i feel hes doing much better. his top fin droops and his bottom fin does too, but i think that may be natural (can u tell me?). hes very energetic like HatoriI and i feel, deep down.., a bit of Hatori I is in Hatori II's heart.
I hope you liiked my story. its all true.
I try to take maximum care of my bettas, but its apparent everyone makes mistakes. well, i hope that can inspire some new betta owners to make sure their fish dont drop out while scooping them put of their cages or you'll feel the intense trauma of praying they'll live. after that frightening experience, ive ben thinking i want to mate Hatori, so if anyone in Ohio near Lorain has a happy and energetic Female Betta, P.M. me and ill give you my location/e-mail ect,
i know this was more than jus a farewell, but i want ppl to get where i come from.
love,
Jeff
