Mighty Man died yesterday after a very brief (24 hr) illness. I have 8 other bettas whom I love very much and I don't have favorites...but if I did, Mighty Man was it. He was a w*mart rescue, a veiltail with long flowing fins who was surviving in in a cup with less than 3/4" of water - his fins stuck out. I got him in early November, 2003, so we lived together for nearly 14 months. I was so impressed with his feisty attitude and strength - he never gave up. Mighty Man was a real "people" betta. His tank was on a shelf near my favorite chair and at the end of each day when I settled down to read or watch TV, he came over to say hi and then snuggled into his hidey hole. Mighty Man, I miss you terribly and I'm sorry I couldn't figure out what went wrong. I'm glad you went quickly and I hope you didn't suffer. I hope you know how special you were to me and how much you were loved.

Im so sorry for your loss. I know you loved him very much but now he is not in pain anymore. You will feel better in time but for now try to remember all the good times you had with mighty man.
