After two days' worth of combating a strange disease, Princess Luci succumbed this morning at 10:20. Rest in peace, Luci. I miss you. She was the most vibrant and most active fish I had. She always did the "feed me" dance and was smart as a whip. She was fast, and I have no doubt that if I ever wanted to breed her she'd beat the crap out of the male. I keep thinking that this all could have been prevented had I not moved her outside, into a larger tank. I wanted her to have some company with my other two fish, and get socialized with the people in the living room. Unfortunately she didn't like the larger tank, and was already ill when I moved her back into her old tank. Here are some pictures to commemorate. She really was a beautiful fish. I'm sorry I couldn't save you, girl. I hope you're in a better place. minaku.sandwich.net/fish/luci1.jpgminaku.sandwich.net/fish/luci2.jpgminaku.sandwich.net/fish/luci4.jpgminaku.sandwich.net/fish/luci5.jpg

Minaku, I'm truly sorry for your loss The pictures are beautiful - it's wonderful that you have those visual memories as well as those in your heart. I also hope you figure out what happened to Luci - it's so hard sometimes to diagnose fast-moving illness.
