My beautiful Max died after a brief illness, apparently brought on by poor water conditions 
although it's possible he was just getting older and cumulative stresses finally got to him.
I wish I knew what exactly caused his death - but mostly I just miss him. He was a beautiful white and purple marbled veiltail, quite large even when I got him 14 months ago. From day one he settled into my home and my life, never gave me one second of worry or stress
Of all of my bettas, Max was my happy-go-lucky, cheerful guy.
He is already missed terribly, especially by his neighbor and flaring friend, Moonunit.
