On Thursday, I came home to discover that Rocky had fallen ill with Columnaris. And the fact that Proboards was upgrading their survers didn't help me much!!! But anyhow, I began treating him with Maracyn, and the first night was a long night. I had fallen ill myself and had feverish dreams that he had passed away, but after checking him multiple times throughout the night, he was still alive when I checked on him in the morning. I did a small water change, added a bit more medication and salt, and hoped for the best.
I had gone to a conference as part as a school thing, and when I got home, my mom told me that she had some bad news. He had passed away. He had died in the same position I left him in that morning.
Rest in peace, Rocky. You are already missed.

Columnaris can be tricky though - it may not have been possible to save him even if the forum had not been offline. I know you did the best you could, and I'm sure Rocky knows that, too.
