Don was my first betta. I got him Auguest 14th, 2004. He finally passed away last night. I named him Donatello after the purple ninja turtle, lol, 'cause he was purple and white. He was quite ordinary compaired to my other bettas. Rocky had an aggressive nature, flared at you whenever you came in to the room, and Spaz, well, he's just all over the place. Don was mellow. He will be missed.

Oh, Flurry  I hope you'll understand when I say, I'm glad it's finally happened. Waiting is such hell.  It's the ordinary ones that touch us the most, I think. The ones you love because they are themselves, not because they are the prettiest, or the liveliest, or the show-offs. Just the best  I'm truly sorry for your loss. ~abm |

I am so sorry for your loss Flurry. It is really hard to lose the bettas that we have had the longest. I also know that his illness has been tough for you to deal with. My heart goes out to you sweetie.  |

So sorry to hear of his passing. Even when you expect it, it's still hard. I can't believe how attached I am (and worried about!) to my betta Max now, after just three weeks! You've had him a long time and it sounds like he had such a nice, solid, sweet personality. Hugs...
