Blue was my first betta, surviving 2 years with me. He stuck with me through that learning stage, when you have no idea how to properly care for a betta, and I nearly lost him a few times. But I guess this last weekend his age finally caught up with him. So at the same time that I am sad that he is gone, I am also happy that he got to live out his life (although not so much at the beginning) in a very happy and healthy way As you can tell, he was a fan of biting off his own fins(I tried everything, nothing worked, but he was happy, so I didn't really have any objections )

Shadoew - I apologize that no one replied to this until now. I'm very sorry for the loss of Blue. Being with you for 2 years as your first betta was a great amount of time! I'm sure he appreciated his life with you.

shadoew, I'm so sorry for your loss If you've read a few of my memorials, you know I had a few special guys who lived their lives during my "betta care learning curve" as well....those are the ones who really touch your heart Blue sure was a pretty boy. Thanks for the picture. ~abm

Thanx all, it has been hard letting my first baby go But yeah I try to keep up with putting all my betta's name on their tanks, just so that when someone new comes in my room, they can greet the fish properly
