And, of course, that didn't work. Here's the link to that photo album, there's only three pics in it at the moment, of Freddie, my white cloud tank and my quail, Bonnie and Clyde. Hope it works right!!

Hi Rae, The link works okay for me. Freddie is so cute! Your quail are really pretty too. Do they live inside? Like around your cat? I want a bird sooooo bad but my cats are wayyyyy too interested in birds.

Thanks Brandi! They live in a tank, and they're in my room, (my sister's cats aren't allowed in my room and my cat knows better), and I only take them out with the door tightly shut and no cats around. lol They're in a ten gallon tank for the moment, my parents are coming for a visit next month, and they have a ten and a thirty gallon tank for me, and the quail are going in the thirty. Hopefully that'll work for them. ;D

Freddie is such a cute little girl! Bonnie and Clyde are adorable! What do you feed them out of curiosity?

Bethie, I'm currently feeding them some cockatiel feed, looks like little pellets, I'm going to get them some seed mixture to go along with it, and they get veggies, fruit, and mealworms, too. ;D

How big are those quail? It's hard to tell from the pic. I would like to eventually get a bird (or birds) of some kind. Those seen so much cooler than a parakeet, etc. Are they hard to care for? Where do you get them? Are they legal? I would eventually like to get some specimen of every general animal category (I haven't told the hubby this yet) So far we have fish and reptile (and insect, if you count the critter keeper full of cricket that I keep to feed the lizard )

The quail are pretty cool. My guys are pretty wild, a friend of mine hatched them, and they haven't been handled enough to be tamed down yet. I'm trying to work on that, but they're hard to catch. lol They only get up to about 5 inches tall. They get a cockatiel feed with some fruit seed mixed in, along with a powder/seed mix that's good for vitamins. The more light the female gets through the day, the more eggs she lays. Mine's an egg machine. She had stopped at nine before, and I threw them out, now she's at 5. Probably one every two or three days. So they need calcium to supplement that. But they're adorable and I love 'em! ;D
Here's a good site for info: www.cyberquail.com I like reading up on this site.
