It's hard for me to admit, but Spongebob really is beautiful! ;D I still just can't get over that name. LOL!
I really do love his coloring though! It's an amazing combination!

She was originally going to name him Sirius after a character in the new Harry Potter book but changed her mind. Poor Spongebob LOL. Now she wants a red one she can name Patrick, a female she can name Sandy, and a blue one she can name Squidward LOL. I told her one is enough for now.
I absolutely love his coloring, I told her if she didn't take extra good care of him I was going to keep him! She is staying with us for another couple of weeks and then she will take him home with her when she goes. I'm making sure she knows how to take care of him and she is helping me with his water changes and feeding him. I think's it's a great way to teach responsibility and she is doing a great job.
This is only his second day with us and he is eating like a pig and has been working on a bubble nest already!

Sirius might have been a name to avoid anyway...I hate to be a spoiler but...somebody dies in the most recent book...  Spongebob may be less of a jinx  (just kidding) |

I know, I told her she shouldn't name him after a guy who dies, it's bad luck! She said the next one she gets, she is naming him Sirius and she doesn't believe in bad luck like that LOL. She's already read the new Harry Potter book three times BTW!

He's doing great! He has the biggest bubble nest going of any of the males here! My stepdaughter is doing great taking care of him too. The only thing she can't do is walk to the sink carrying his tank without spilling half of it! She is so excited about bettas now, there is no way she is gonna let me keep him LOL.

We were at the petstore today looking at bettas and I told her that if she saw one that she liked more, she could get it but I got to keep Spongbob. No deal! LOL
Now she wants more bettas but I'm not giving her any more until I'm sure she keeps very good care of SB and doesn't get tired of him.
I was going to give her one of my crowntail fry, but they are only 2 months old and I didn't think she could handle taking care of a baby yet.
She was telling my hubby today, "I want bettas all over the house just like Dani (that's me lol)!" Her mom is going to kill me LOL!
