What a tough looking guy  I know how you feel everytime i go to the pet store i always come back with new bettas yea that right BETTAS(more then one bettas.) I have so many now im not even gonna attemt to type all their names. I just can't resist when i go to the pet store. |

Oh, how beautiful! What magnificent colors. He looks so sad and lonely right now, but I know in no time he'll be healthy and happy and sooooo glad to be in his new home!

He does look pretty sad in those pics. I took them just a few hours after I got him home. That 2.5 gallon tank must seem like a mansion to him after the cup! Last night he was flaring at his reflection and he ate right away too which is a great sign. He is looking perkier today though I think his tail is so long, it kinda weighs him down a bit LOL. He was in blue water at the pet store and I thought his fins were white but they actually have a pink tint to them. He really is a cutie. My stepdaughter named him Angelfire, I think the name suits him! |

Well, poor Angelfire had to get moved to a gallon pickle jar because his 2.5 gallon tank cracked! If you look at the pics, you can see the crack behind him, I didn't even notice it! Oh well, my mom gave me the tank, so I'm not out anything but now I have a good excuse to get another one! LOL
SpongeBob went home today with lots and lots of instructions for his care! I also sent an extra tank (in case his breaks!), a 32 oz cup with a lid for the ride home, a small fish net, NovAqua, AmQuel, Aquarium salt, a 1/2 tsp measuring spoon (for the salt), and a gallon jug marked with how full to fill it, and how much of the conditioners to put in it. I think my stepdaughter is all set! LMAO

Angelfire's coloring is amazing!! I have never seen a little guy like that. That's too bad that his tank cracked, but luckily it sounds like you got him out of there before anything bad could happen. It sounds like Spongebob will be in good hands! |

I know it is hard to pass up those sad little guys when you pass the betta cups....and it is amazing how much they can change color when you get them home and into a new clean and spacious home....I thought my new male Meenoi was brown when I got him and then I out him into his new tank and now look at him...  |

Remember how sad Angel looked when I first got him? Look at him now, and so busy too, LOL. He has changed colors too and doesn't look so pink anymore.   |

Megan, Storm is gorgeous! I love the white flowing fins on Angel, it makes him look like he is flying. He is the only veiltail that I have who's tail really reminds me of a veil. BettaBGood, He wishes he could get with the Apache chick, LOL! Actually the only other bettas he sees are Merry and Pippin who are on both sides of him. HMMMMM, maybe he is trying to impress the boys? LOL |
