How to post a picture!

Option #1: You can host your picture on a site that allows external linking (meaning that you can directly link the image back to that site and the picture will be directly displayed in your message). www.freepichosting.com is a great site to use for this option.

To post the picture on the forum:
1. On the screen to make a post > there is an icon on the 2nd row of the "Add Tags" area, 4th button from the left, called "Insert Image."

2. This will give you a format similar to this: [ img ][ /img ]. Then, you will insert your picture's url address inbetween the brackets.

3. Example of what it will look like:
[ img ]http://www2.freepichosting.com/Images/421601193/0.jpg[ /img ].

4. Actually displayed:

* Liman and his bubblenest *

Option #2: This method tends to work for sites such as msn, yahoo photos, or other sites that may not allow direct linking of the picture. Instead, you can just post the url address directly into the message: www2.freepichosting.com/Images/421601193/0.jpg and members can click on it to view the picture.

Either method works fine, however in the 1st option you can actually see the picture in the thread.

I've had some members ask what free websites they can use for their pictures that allow direct linking of images.

Here are a couple that I know of offhand:

www.Photobucket.com

Does anyone have suggestions for other sites to use?

www.miamihost.net is good (i have paid hotsing with them and they rarley go down), also www.auctiva.com has free image hosting, but you might have to be an eBay seller to use it.

imageshack.us/ is by far my favorite. You don't need to sign up with an account or anything.
