Megan, Thanks for the short lesson on specific strains vs. genetic terms. (I'm no breeder, just a keeper - but I can't stand misnomers, either. ) Apology for faux pas! BMVP, My little gal, Dora, is totally flesh-colored w/amazing, red fins. (of Cambodian descent, I think, but just my guess... )

They didn't get it quite right this time. I'll condition them again and try in a couple more weeks. It was really cute to watch, poor little fumbling teens is what they reminded me of, LOL. I have an acrylic tube that I put the female into in the spawning tank so they can see each other but not get to each other. I left her in there overnight and released her in the morning. She swam straight to him and they were doing their happy wiggle dance at each other. He got busy and built a huge bubble nest and later that evening they finally were trying the embrace. He would try to bend his body over hers but never got it right. He seemed to enjoy himself, but she was never actually in there, LOL. They got frustrated with each other and gave up after a while. They will do better next time, I just know it! I'll light some candles and put on some "mood" music...LOL ;D
