Thanks!! I got a better shot of him this morning. I really like his coloring, which I haven't seen at our pet store before.
Napoleon isn't too sure what to make of our new family member just yet, and so far tends to ignore him. LOL

Wow! He's adorable. I saw one kinda like him when I went to find a betta last time... he was at Petsmart, and I almost got him cuz I felt so sorry for him... most of the bettas there were dead or dying! But I decided to try Petco and see what was there before getting this guy. And I found Trumpet... sometimes I still think of what became of that poor little guy! I'm glad yours has a good home!!

Thanks! And he's so gentle and trusting. We had a bit of an incident his first night with us (a busted aquarium, and my very clumsy attempt to net him and move him to another tank), and yet when I cleaned his tank this weekend he wasn't a bit fearful and swam right up to my hand to see what I was doing.

Thanks! We think he's a cutie. And so nosey, too! I was trying to set up an airstone in his tank yesterday, and he was literally right in the middle of it. LOL. Kept swimming through all the bubbles while I was trying to get the dang valve adjusted (quite a sight, me trying to fool with the airstone, hose and valve while he's swimming in/on/and around all of it, and bubbles are going everywhere). I didn't realize until after it was all over that his tail fin got ripped up in the strong current, so now he's on Melafix.  Fiesty little guy! sef |
