I need to figure out a name for her. SOrry for the cruddy pic, I"ll try to get a better one (with my camera? yeah right!) when I'm cleaning her tank. BTW, should I decide to get another female, could I put her in the 2.5 with this one if I put them in at the same time?

I suppose I could name her Kira since she really is dark. She's got some blue, so maybe I"ll go with the suggestion of Rhapsody. I'll have to see after she settles in for a couple days.

Congrats on the new girl! It's a little hard to see her, but she sounds gorgeous!
I believe from what I've heard about girls, you won't have the best luck combining just 2 girls together. I think the rule is generally just 1 or 3+ together.

OK thanks! yeah, I know the photo is bad. This was with no setup or extra lighting and a cruddy $45 digital camera. I'll try to get a better one later.

Congrats on your gal! Rhapsody is an awfully pretty name, if you decide to go with it. My female, Josephine, is in a 2.5 gallon tank by herself. I originally intended to get a Betta divider and add a second female on the other side, but after getting the divider and seeing how little space Josie and her roommate would have, I decided against it. Josie continues to have the tank all to herself and seems quite happy with it. sef

yeah, I think I'll go with Rhapsody. My thinking behind getting her a "friend" or two is that she's rather small (probably an inch and a quarter) and with the inch per gallon thing, it would work with another fish of the same size (which all the ones at the LFS were) and there was SUCH a pretty pink one. eh, maybe next week I'll see if they've still got her for my other 2.5 gal.
