My mother was trying to help me come up with an Hawaiian name and was trying for Kahala. :-) I thought "Kaluha" was just perfect.

Leigh, I don't remember if I ever told you how beautiful Kaluha is! I've admired this photo several times but I don't see my name (either of them : in the reply lists...sorry But you certainly do have a gorgeous guy here!

Thanks! I never thought that a finned friend would become such a part of the family. So much so that my mother now asks how Kaluha is before she asks about my day

Thanks for saying that...I feel like I have to reinvent the wheel every time I do that! You would think there would be a learning curve... Yes, my fish are also members of the family. My husband is figuring ways to rig up special lights for their shelves and help me improve their heating issues... if I asked him, no way would he help...but just watching the pretty little guys, he's hooked and no rush on the hidey pic - but I am still interested whenever you get around to it...

Kahula is beautiful! I especially like the red that is peeking thru on his fins.
