Oh ppv, Spinner is beautiful!  I do love dogs. What kind is he? (I love them, but I'm not an expert.) I never thought I was a "dog person" until I was 8 months pregnant and a little black puppy followed me to the car at the tee-ball field. That was 12 years ago - said black puppy turned into a rather large-ish mutt who has been slowly going blind over the past 3 years  We got him a companion 10 years ago - a then 6-yr-old cocker spaniel. My pets seem to last forever  . You say "dog #3" - is that 3 of 3 or are there more? You must live in a very large house or have a very large yard. I envy you, either way . |

We are fortunate to live out in the sticks and have a big yard! ;D Spinner appears to be a large Yellow Lab. He came galumphing into our yard almost 4 years ago on April Fools Day (I am not kidding!) He had a collar on but it didnt have any identification. We advertised, but no one claimed him or wanted to adopt him. Their loss!  At the time we already had 3 dogs, 2 were older and one was young like him (and she needed a younger, more active playmate.) We had to put one of our older dogs to sleep this fall, a German Shepherd mix named Gertie. She was 15 and had cancer.  Now, we have Spinner, Maudie (a black mutt, who we found abandoned in our yard when she was too young to be away from her mother) and Mr. Sanders (our other older dog who is an Australian Shepherd and quite content to lay about in the sun and enjoy his old age!) I am sorry about your black dog and the sight-loss. Why can't they all live longer? |
