Here is our very first Betta. His name is Giovanni. When we first got him he was a lot lighter - almost purple and pink. He seems to be staying these colors. He is also the most interactive of the group and is always very happy to see us. I really think he would jump out his water and into my hand if I were to allow him. www.msnusers.com/palepinkvasepictures/shoebox.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=14

He looks amazing! His coloring looks all shimmery and rich! They do throw you off a bit sometimes when you first purchase them and then they change to competely different colors. I think it's neat though, and a sign of good health.

He is beautiful PPV! I can just see him gliding through the water with such grace that you can hear Mozart in your head.... How long have you had him?

Thanks. I do believe he was posing for the camera. He is such a friendly guy. It is nice to come home and have him start swimming and twirling in the water.

Now..about your dogs and cats lol. I have some old pics on the site, of other Bettas, one of our dogs, Spinner, and our outside cat, Tobermory. I have some new pics I need to post, which I will possibly get to this weekend - after the laundry, the yardwork, the bill paying (first of month blues!), etc etc etc

I keep saying I have to scan the pics and post them, but it keeps getting away from me lol. I still have to take new cam pics since I changed things a bit...took out the marbles and added more river rocks.

I love his pose and he is gorgeous! I think most of us have been surprised a little by a color change. I know I have my fish formerly looked like a blue cambodia but he is much darker now....of course he is still young and i am sure there are many changes to come.

Giovanni has a twin!!! My Rama and him could pass as doubles. Ok now this is wierd however I was going to call him or my other 1st one (bought 'em both on the same day) Giovanni however with the way they both were posturing (best color displays for sure), I decided to name Gio's twin Rama, after the hindu warrior and diety and the other is Bruno. Kind of a tough italian name which fit him. May he rest in peace. Giovanni is gorgeous. I still love the name. Lisa
