Many of you have read about my Pentecost, a lily vase rescue that I've had for over a year now. He seems to possibly have a swim bladder issue, swimming sideways at times and dancing on his tail at others He seems happy, is active (most of the time) but he does have some interesting behaviors. I finally got (I think) a pretty good pic of him "lounging" on top of his Roman columns tank decoration. Since he's in a small (2 gallon capacity, but filled with slightly less) tank, I had taken this (rather disproportionately large) decoration out and replaced it with a smaller hidey....he got depressed, didn't eat and was very lethargic . At the next water change I replaced his columns, he's been eating and lounging happily ever since

Ummmm....yeah, he acts relaxed, too But he does get excited when I approach his tank, so it was hard to sneak up on him and snap the pic.

That's a really cute pic abm. I've never seen a betta do that before, although you can tell he sees you coming because of his dorsal fin standing straight up like that. I bet he was out of there very soon after that picture was snapped.

That's a really cute pic abm. I've never seen a betta do that before, although you can tell he sees you coming because of his dorsal fin standing straight up like that. I bet he was out of there very soon after that picture was snapped. You know what? He stayed put! It was like he was dozing or something - sometimes he can be so still I have to watch and make sure he's breathing! His fin always stands up like that...sort of the way he plops on his lounger there Maybe he just knew I really wanted the pic so he stayed still this ONE time....
