While I was at the fish store to buy medicine for Boris this week, I spotted a steel blue betta which, I must admit, have been coveting for some time. After twenty minutes of indecision, I gave in. I present to you Neptune!
What's weird about him is that he has two red lesions on each side of his gill covers. When he flares, his beard is red in those places. I love it!
Lastly, his tank setup. Right now he's living in a temp tank that holds .75 of a gallon. He's got a Java Fern and a big cave to hide in, and enjoys building his bubble nests underneath the leaves of his plant.
I feel like this is the beginning of a long love affair.
Oh, and the color things you see on top of his tank are the origami turtles my roommate made for him.
