When I went to my LFS to get some frozen food and spirulina flakes, I decided to check in on the female bettas. I've been wanting one for some time, and I had three extra tanks just waiting around to be used. I took a look, and this beauty caught my eye. Everyone, meet Luci! minaku.sandwich.net/fish/luci1.jpg (113.5 kb) Luci looking out from the tank. You can see how tiny she is, actually, by comparing her to the thermometer. She is incredibly fast, though - it was difficult for me to get a picture of her finnage because she wouldn't pause for more than a second. I wish she were crowntail! She has double rays in her tail, but alas, no crownage going on. And here is Luci underneath her plant, peeking out. Pictures really don't do her any justice. She is incredibly beautiful and cute. I named her Luci because her color reminded me of Lucille Ball. So far she seems very happy and healthy; I hope she stays that way and lives a long and fulfilled life with me!

She is a cutie, especially when she just sits there peering out at the camera.
