Hey Everybody - I'm new to the forum, so I thought I'd come and introduce myself and Mystic. I have no idea what Mystic's finage is called, so there for I dont know anything about that (help would be nice) ..I know that he does change colors (dont they all?) and he's one really photo-gentic little guy. So here he is.. the one an only.. MYSTICAL ELVIS! LadyMacca you never told me Mystics full name before! i'm insulted now all the years we've known one another bah! Heh, i'm still jealous that you can take such fab photos of your fish and mine come out looking like blurred blobs! heh

lol, well I only thought of the name, when they asked for one, so I made it up today.. so yeah, but you thought of Mystic in the first place, cuz I just ended up calling him James when I got him from the store, so you should feel honored..
As for the pictures, when I come up there, I shall teach all the camera works for beautiful crazy photo taking. ;D

A fish's iridescent layer will look different depending on the lighting (direction, color, and spectrum) and the angle at which the fish is viewed.
Some marbled bettas do change color over time, but what you're seeing is just dependent on the lighting =)
