Nice fish you have there. That looks like a neat plant in Pi's tank. Is it a fake flower?

They look like nice boys. Make sure to post a pic when his fins heal, I bet he will be a real stunner then!

That looks like a neat plant in Pi's tank. Is it a fake flower? yeah, local craft store sells silk flowers and I was feeling creative so I decided to try out roses in the fish tank. Turns out he loves to nuzzle inside the petals. It was terribly difficult to get them to stay in the tank (I went through 3 different bases before finding one that wouldn't float out from under the marbles, the flowers are insanely buoyant ). Oh please share ;D
What kind of base did you find that works?
I too have seen some beautiful silk plants in the craft store and wished I could use them in the tanks.

Well...since you asked. I couldn't use rocks or metal to weigh the thing, so I ended up figuring out a way to use the substrate to keep the flower down. (forgive my wayward handwriting) It's worked out pretty well. JoAnna

Thank you I think I will have to try that, it is a very good idea.
