My Betta babies

Well, I just got myself a digital camera, so I can finally put my bettas' pics on here.

This is Blue, he is about 1 1/2 years old. He lost his tail fins do to stress a while ago, but they are slowly growing back.

This is Tye, he is around the same age as Blue. He is very camera-shy, so this is the best shot I could get of him.

This is Kite, he is a pretty easy-going guy, who doesn't seem to mind the camera at all.

Lastly, but definitely not the least, this is my newest Betta. I haven't had him long enough to figure out a suitable name for him.

Your boys are so pretty

I really have to stop looking at the picture pages...I see all these beautiful Bettas and want to go see the ones at my lps and get more. I just have to keep repeating to myself...4 is enough...no more room for tanks...

I hear that.. I keep thinking about running over to superpet tomrorow after i get my snail from big als aquarium services to pick up that yellow veil tail.. man i should have gotten him!


On another note.. Shadoew.. are you using the backgrounds you can get at petsmart/superpet/etc, with the nice pictures of plants and what not?

I bought a bit.. and put it on all 3 of my tanks.

Sarge swims around alot flaring at his reflection.. but knows when to calm down.

Epyon sits there staring at it.. i think he's to weak to flare right now..

Ermac sat in the corner of his two gal FIGHTING the glass/reflection. Snapping his mouth adn all.. so i had to take them off of Epyons and Ermacs tank..

Do you notice your fish fighting their reflections in the backgroundS? These background seem to cause alot of heavy reflection.. though I cant evne see any reflection. I hope they learn to get use to it like sarge is.

I'm just using backgrouds that I found at my LPS. I used to get plastic plants, but now that I see how much Nero loves to hide in the silk ones, I am buying a whole bunch more for all of the others.

Hm.. that's what im using too. Just ones from superpet.. they are nice and all.. but the fish keep seeing their reflection alot more and fighting it.. which i dont like to see for hours on end.. not good for them.
