Hi,
My name is Cassie and I am new to the board. I just bought a male betta the other day after doing extensive research on them. I actually may get another, but I can't decide whether I want a divided tank or two tanks. Anyone have any thoughts? Anyway, here are some pics of my new boy Mr. Tibbles.

Hi Cassie,

He really doesn't fit into any one color category per say. Most veil teil bettas from pet stores are bred for numbers (profit) and not colors.

As for the tank: if you have no prior fish experience go with two separate tanks because a divided tank is going to require a bit more skill.

I do have previous fish experience. I have owned several bettas before as well as goldfish and a pleco. So do you think a divided tank would be okay?

Oh yes, I agree with you. His blue streaks are my favorite part about him. They only show up in the process of flaring and just after. When I saw him in the store I knew he was the betta for me!

Keeping an actual divided tank shouldn't be too hard, but setting one up will require a bit of research first.
