i think i finally settled on names for everyone: Crush for orange #1, Sunkist for orange #2, Glorfindel for the yellow, and Anakin for the platinum. there goes the notion of having a theme two new photos of Anakin that i really love:   |

they are SOO PRETTY!!!! ;D I LOVE the oranges and that last one!!! u have to tell me what site u ordered them from!!!!!! they r so amazing!!! i got the oranges and the yellow on aquabid. the oranges were from Luckybetta (he actually had 4 up for auction), and the yellow from Banleangbettas. I ordered the platinum directly from Nicebettas at his website www.nicebettas.com but he also sells on aquabid using that handle. the fish themselves were pretty cheap, but shipping really jacks up the price still, no regrets. i absolutely adore these fish! |

i'm absolutely smitten with the orange plakats and the platinum. i wish i had an orange girl to breed with one of the boys, alas, i have none  i'm going to breed the platinum with my green marble girl, though. i'm conditioning them now, and i just got a great deal on a couple of 10 gallon setups and a double tank stand on ebay. both the male and female are relatively docile for bettas. i let them see each other and they dance for each other, but no flaring. the girl already has the vertical barring, and is nice and fat with eggs ;D  here's a shot of him investigating my finger. it's hard to tell but my finger is actually in the foreground; it makes him look small but he's actually a pretty good sized betta. |
