last batch of bettas finally here!

last batch of bettas is finally here! i was only supposed to get 1 male and his spawn sister, but the breeder threw in 2 sisters and a half-sister. the male i got really doesn't seem to be the one pictured in the auction, although the breeder swears up and down that it is. he sent me photos of the male's brothers and said if i preferred any of those, he'd send him to me at no cost to me, but i am just tired of dealing with incoming boxes of fish. the male isn't as pretty as expected, but the females - especially the sisters - are gorgeous. the sisters are incredibly tiny, too. considering how little i paid ($6 fish, $10 shipping), plus i got extra fish, plus i paid for priority shipping, and the seller decided last minute to send via express mail anyway, i guess i can't complain too much.

The Male
Definitely does not look like the fish pictured in the auction. Extremely tiny and cute, though.

The Sisters
They're just about the teeniest things I've ever seen. Beautiful, though. Shown with some juvie mustard gas plakat pals, who are just starting to get their colors.

The Half-Sister
Bigger than the other girls. Seems to have a nip or two on her fins.

wow! i am s0o0o0o jelous! u have like how many now?! 50?!!?!? lol i love the 1st one that is so tiny and cute! he would look great against some dark red or black sand! lol <--- getting excited again.... CALM down! no more bettas for me lol congrats on ur many new batches!

settling in nicely. the boy is so teeny tiny but he's doing his best to keep up with narsil, who is being a total show off. he has not one but two nests, in opposing corners of his tank. the little guy followed suit and now has a small but respectable nest of his own the girls are doing well, and i still cant get over how incredibly small the sisters are. if you look in the photos, there's a shot or two where one of the sisters is in front of a heater. for size reference, that's a 25 watt hagen thermal compact mini. they are TEENY little girls
