new fish are here :)

i only got to take pics of four out of seven last night, before i fell asleep. i'll do the others when i get home, but here's what i have so far.

had a rough start being nearly white when i took him out of the box. he's settled in beautifully though:

unfortunately, the red gold male decided to chew on his tail on the way out of thailand. i think he's still lovely, though.

maybe, but i want to breed my orange plakats first. i have to see how much work it is and if i can realistically juggle it before i spawn again.

there's a terrific pet store that opened near me that actually cares about its customers. i've asked for specific things to be brought in, such as biospira and other species of betta, and they're doing it. they also set up their betta section according to my recommendation - every one in a gallon bowl - and come to me whenever they have questions about betta care. they've already offered to sell my spawn for me if i want, and they're probably the only store in the area i would trust with the task.

i actually bought the 4 girls without seeing them, but i trust the breeder and knew he would send me nice fish

OOOH...That royal bf is so beautiful. Who was the seller? I hope you also bought female sib. Did you get them through Aquabid auctions or off auction? If they are Aquabid, please pm me the link. That royal struck a nerve. I may have to fix this problem sooner rather than later. I love them when they have a touch of black or dark blue.
