Hi, and welcome to our message board! Please try to answer the following when asking a question about your fish/tank: - How long have you had your fish?
- Have you made any changes recently – tank size, food, water source, conditioners, etc?
- What size is the tank and is it filtered? Is it cycled?
- What are the pH and ammonia levels? Nitrite & Nitrate? KH & GH? Do you regularly monitor these levels? If you don't have test kits for these, many pet stores will do it for free.
Note: When reporting chemical test results, don't just say levels are "normal" or "fine." Please give actual numbers. Without numbers, a test result is useless.
- How often do you change the water and what water conditioners/additives do you use?
- What is the water temperature on a daily basis?
- Does he (or she) have any tank mates?
- What do you feed your fish, how much, and how often?
- Are you currently using any medication?
- Describe your fish’s symptoms and your concerns. How long have they been present and have the symptoms changed?
- Additionally, any other information that you think would be helpful for members.
Thank you for visiting Healthy Betta!
