When I bought Copper and Carrot, this guy was on the shelf as well. I didn't want to buy any more fish, but I have been thinking about him since Tuesday, and today I finally gave in and bought him. He is still nameless. You can copy and paste the following link to see more pictures of my fish, and to see Carrot and Copper with their new Java Moss (for some reason it won't direct-link to the page) www.flickr.com/photos/66802039@N00/

Nice fish =)
He's one of the more original looking color patterns I've seen.

Thanks Amanichen. He is quite unusual looking, which is probably why I couldn't pass him up LOL.

I can see how you couldn't pass him up! I like his unique coloring as well. I can't wait to find out his name.

I love seeing people with the double tails! A lot of people just keep their eyes out for CTs and HMs, but in my opinion the double tails are far more unique. Nice one

He still has no name. In an effort to spread Betta Fever to my husband, I am letting him pick out a name I really like the double tails too. They may not be as flashy (finnage wise) as CT's or HM's. I think his colors were really what attracted me to him though. Never seen one quite like him, and I just HAD to have him lol. Once he has a name I will post a couple more shots of him, along with whatever name my husband comes up with. Thanks for the nice comments everyone

That Betta has the most unuaual coloring I have ever seen, I don't think I would have been able to even put off buying him for a couple days, I would have grabbed him right away Awesome guy

Teresa, I don't know how I held out so long either. Probably because I promised my husband that I would hold off buying any more fish until we had proper places to put them.
I usually have very high self-restraint. But when I went back to the pet store and saw that he was still there, I just couldn't resist any longer, LOL.

I don't blame you for that purchase at all...I can think of no one who loves battas that could resist that little beauty I may have to make the 3hour trip to calgary to see what other little treasures they have

Teresa, I got him at Petland, so if you have one in your area you may want to check it out. But if you are within three hours of Calgary, I also have contact info of a local woman who breeds and imports bettas from Thailand. I haven't been to see her fish yet, but I have heard from a few people that have delt with her, and they say that she has good selection and the fish are high quality. If you are interested, I could pass on her info to you Just leave me a mesage here or PM me.

Well, I haven't seen a petland on the west end of Edmonton, but I will look in the phonebook and see if there is one. Right now I am not in the market for another betta, but when I am I may take you up on your offer of her contact info
