This is my brand new female, Sprite. Her fins are a little worse for wear because some of her tankmates were a little rough on her. A little melafix will take care of that in no time This one is kinda blurry, but it shows off her reddish color better.

Bcroft, she was a rescue mission from a casual aquaintance. She was being kept in a tank with misc. other fish and they wern't very nice to her. I have seen them at my LPS, but they are hard to come by, since most of the 'general public' don't like to buy females. The pictures don't do her justice, but she is seriously like a female version of your male, Spaz, very similar coloring, except that I suspect she is a CT.
Rachel, she seems to be doing very well. She eats lots and I think she actually enjoys having her tank near to the guys. Her colors are becoming more vibrant everyday.
Teresa, to tell you the truth I am not sure. I think that the horizonatal stripes are unique to females, and help with the sexing of younger fish. Not too sure about the vertical stripes, it could be both, LOL. I am not planning to breed (I think my husband would have a fit) but I do like to have a variety of Bettas, and she was just so sad looking.

Just throwing it in here, when my bettas get those stripes it usually means the temp. went down a couple degrees and it stresses them out. I'm not sure if it's the same for females. I'm going to my LPS and looking in every tank
