Well I was looking through petco's ad flyer this week and saw that they had baby leopard geckos on sale for $20. I've been doing a lot of research on them and the price and I couldn't stop myself So now here she is, I don't have a name for her YET , I'm not good with names at all! She's in a 10 gallon with a 60 watt bulb registering the tank at 85 degrees in the hottest spot.

I am unfamiliar with reptiles, so don't laugh at my question but what is the difference between a gecko and a lizard? She is cute by the way.

A gecko is a type of lizard The leopard gecko is very friendly, hardy and nice looking. An 8 year old could take care of her! Just get the tank decorated with hiding spots, clean the tank every couple days, and give her food and water every day. Males are just like bettas...if they come in contact with each other they will fight to the death or one will drop its tail and may be prone to infection.

I don't know a whole lot about geckos in general either, but she sure does look cool. The most I've ventured that way was with a few green anoles when I was much younger. So what do you feed her? Have you thought of a name yet?
