I have towo females in 2.5 gal tanks right next to eachother. When they swim on the same side of the glass, they'll catch site of the other one and flare, it's funny. I'm just hoping that the fact that they flare at eachother doesn't mean that they'll be really aggressive to eachother once I have my 3rd fish and house them all together...
