As you all know, I had lost Cliph and then Lazarus and said I would not get another betta, being happy with Percy and Dante. Well, we all know how that works with betta lovers. I did look at bettas in the pet stores all the time and thought they were all beautiful, but today I spotted him...the one that was meant to be mine!... here is a couple pics of him and a link to a bunch more...he loves to have his pic taken! No name yet, but when he tells me what it is I will let you know, and I can't wait to see if he 'colors up' any or if he is going to stay like this floating in his little cup to get the temp the same... Free in the tank with the nasty little cup a thing of the past! a visual comparison of old home and new...hearing that old song from the jeffersons in my head now! lol {movin on up} ***oops forgot to add the link to his photo album*** enjoy the pics ;D he just takes such nice pics I got 15 in about 1/2 hour! photobucket.com/albums/y95/teresab3st/New%20Betta/?action=view¤t=100_0772.jpg&slideshow=true&interval=5

I am glad that you decided to adopt again. Every fishy deserves a good mom like you. He is a pretty boy. Keep us updated on a name.

Thank you I think he is too btw...he told me his name Introducing.......... Ming Yueit is a chinese name meaning 'bright moon', at least that is what the little girl next door told me when she came over to see him. And he ate 2 pellets this morning! so proud of him ;D ;D **edit, just did a google search on the name and that is an accurate translation, sometimes 6 year olds are such a great source of information!**

He has very cool coloration. I like the blue patch behind his head.

That blue spot is why I oohhhed when I met him the camera doesn't do him justice...his color on the fins actually goes from a denim blue at the body to a light blue then white and that spot is very shiny. he has no red wash even now that he has settled in. and the proud mama in me has to brag about how he was eating 4 pellets 2x a day right from the second day and has already eaten a worm off my finger! it took all my other betta weeks to get that friendly
