Man, Last nite just gave me an edge. Hubby told me when the cory cat got sick from ammonia poisonin that I wasn't getting anymore fish or fish stuff. Well some one is on my side. One of his co-workers gave us a 25 gallon long and a 10 gallon regular. I was so shocked when he got home n told me. I've been wanting another big tank, but haven't be able to get one. I tried to explain to hubby that the ammonia was a freak thing cuz we didn't know our water supply was comtinated until it was to late. He has since settled down about it n finally realized that I spend less on the fish in a month then we do the cats r the dogs, because of the amount I use n how often I use some of the stuff somethings can last up to 6 mo. Now I just have to find something that can hold a 25 gallon tank. I definitely have some cleaning to do cause the 25 has a little sand left in it so it might a been a turtle home or something. I'm going to clean em really good n check for leaks before I get the cart before the horse. I also gotta get filters, covers n lights before the fish come, lol. So now I have a 50 gallon, a 25 gallon, n three 10 gallons. One of my original 10's need to be resealed hoping to do that this weekend. Well, just wanted to ya'll know bout my little surpise. Have a good day/nite.

Well, the 50 gallon is occupied already by a pacu and an oscar, they were given to me tank and all by a friend who was unable to care for them anymore cuz of her health. One of my original 10 gallons is being prepped for my daughter's new betta and later we will probably get a few guppies and cory cat to go in there too. My other original 10 gallon still has to be resealed. But after I clean and check out these tanks I'm thinking of using the 25 as a community tank. I'm strongly leaning toward getting at least 3 female bettas and some guppies or mollies and cory cats. Not to sure about the mix I want but I know I definitely want to put some female bettas in it. The 10 gallon, ummm I dunno for sure, we might use is as a second sick tank(thats the purpose of the 10 gallon that needs to be resealed, which will be done this weekend.) Or make another small community tank out of like we're planning on for the one my daughter's Betta will be going in. I'll keep ya update we get em going. Might take awhile considering I have to get everything else for the tanks and most of the time our walmart doesn't have the right size hoods n filters when I go to buy them so in sense I have to sneak up on them if u know what I mean, lol.

I am so jealous. Where are the people who want to give away tanks when I am around?
Congradulations on the new tanks.

Well, the 25 gallon has ended up becoming the home for the oscar in the 50 gallon tank. He wouldn't quit beating up on the pacu or chasing him away from the food. Since I seperated them the Pacu (aka Crazy) has been doing better than ever. He can actually swim with out being chased right back into a corner, he's eating better and very playfull. We just can't figure out why a fish 2 times bigger than the oscar was letting him pick on him especially since Crazy is suppose to have the additude problem not Oscar. Oscar the oscar, lol, has changed color from green n black to a very pretty blue green (not really a turquoise color) and black. The new 10 gallon has been made into a temporary tadpole enclosure. Crazy and Oscar love em. They've been getting tadpoles for the past 3 wks and seem to like them better than the feeder fish I use to buy. So I guess I'll stick to tadpoles for awhile. Have a great day and take care.
