Here are a few of my favorites: Aquarium Pros: www.aquariumpros.com- They sometimes carry products that are hard to find elsewhere and the customer service is outstanding. They are also quite knowledgable about fish and happy to answer any questions. They have fast shipping and decent prices. I've had to return something to them before and the whole process was hassle free and done quickly. Drs. Foster & Smith: www.drsfostersmith.com- While sometimes their prices are a bit more than other places, they do carry a nice selection. Their live help on the website is unbeatable though. You can ask any questions about the products they carry and get answers in real-time. I've used it before and been satisfied with their help. eBay: www.ebay.com- You can sometimes find great deals on fish supplies there.

Fosters & Smith and eBay are high on my list as well. Here are a couple others I frequent: Big Al's Online - www.bigalsonline.comIf Fosters & Smith don't have it, these guys will. Thier house brand of stuff is good quality at way lower prices. They are slow to ship, but its cause they are a Canadian company with a shipping center on the US side of the boarder. They are also pretty easy to do returns with. AquaBid - www.aquabid.comLike eBay, if you are looking for something odd, or expensive they are worth the peek...sometimes you can catch screaming deals. AmazonMoosey - www.amazonmoosey.comThese guys are small, but they have great prices and I have found hard-to-find stuff with them.

That Fish Place is a retail store in Lancaster Pa. It's the largest Pet Supply store in the US. I've been lucky enough to shop there three times. I can spend 2 hours in that store without even noticing. It's not called the Home Depot of Pet Supplies for nothing. thatfishplace.comI always order via the toll free number 888 842-8738 but wouldn't hesitate to order online. yes, yes, yes, yes and yes. Their prices are around 20% below Petland's. They ship through Fedex and delivery to NY is usually next day. I can call in before the order is shipped and change my order. They have a lot of in house specials, fun stuff for the kids. Nice selection of tropical/marine fish and hundreds of bettas! I like reading catalogues and their's is the best. They feature new products way before Drs. Foster's does and light years ahead of when they reach the petshops. Each year PABS a local IBC chapter has it's Betta Show in May at TFP. They donate the show space and provide nice support to the club. Online, 800 number or in store...That Fish Place gets my vote.

www.aquariumcenter.comThey're somewhat near my house in MD, and they've been in business for about 20-25 years. I don't get out there too often because it's a 45 minute drive, but I've been a semi-regular customer since I was about 10 years old. About 10 years ago they were in their peak, but they're still one of the better stores around.

I guess I'm fortunate that there's a Big Al's near my home but for some other things that I've wanted for my "babies" I've purchased from both these sites: www.majesticbetta.comwww.bluebettausa.combluebettausa sells these amazing betta dippers: the "cup" part of them are a very soft solid vinyl so when you need to scoop up a betta for whatever reason they're still in the water! no more thrashing around and hurting themselves. Another site I just found is: www.marinedepot.comI'm really interested in their betta food line which is formulated by a renowned Thai betta breeder. Marinedepot doesn't have the 500g pack of the betta food just yet but I when I called them today they said they're opening up a new site www.petstore.com in a few weeks that will cater more to the freshwater side. Shopping: the next best thing to watching bettas ;D
