Its also the birthplace of Kodak, but they are'nt hiring anyone anymore, just firing. The people are great, and the cost of living isn't as bad as big cities (rochester is medium sized) also, the Brighton schools are great (brighton is just outside of Rochester).A friend of mine was born and raised in Rochester NY. In fact his dad worked for Kodak for many years. His parents still live there and the pictures that he shows me when he goes home every year are beautiful.
