how much money do you spend on your fish a month?I was just wondering because I don't have any fish right now and want to know how much it's gonna cost me. Randi ;D

It really depends on how much you are into fish. Some months I spend more on fish than myself, and some months I have finals or midterms to look out for and I barely remember to feed them It's going to be a lot to start, after that you just need the basics. Food will last forever, water conditioner goes fast if you have a large tank.

and if you always buy little bottles you're going spend more than a larger one.
For food, filters and water conditioner, I probably am between $80-100 for a year. Food last forever (the betta bites we have is over 2 years old). And after my trial bottles of amquel and novaqua, I got the largest in the store and just keep refilling the small ones to keep out. And that's for 8 fish. But I spoil mine a little. If you got just one betta in a one gallon bowl or a medium critter keeper, I bet you'd be around $50 a year, for food water conditioner, and including the setup of bowl and a few decorations and fish (assuming you got the $12 bottle of Amquel or Novaqua). Price shop too. There's some products that are just a big rip off I think (the betta plus conditioner that all the major chains push). only treats at most 5 gallons, versus the 240 the small bottle of amquel does.
