Oh, and if you clicked that you have anywhere more then 20, please let me know how you manage to clean their tanks? ha-ha. Rather painstakingly... (20) (But they're so wonderful! And so addictive! )

I just took a head count and I have 24. Water changes on uncycled jars and bowls are actually really fast, I just keep buckets of aged water on hand. I put 8 females together in a community tank which saves me lots of time now since I used to have them all in separate jars up until yesterday.

I have more than 50, between some at the workplace, home and my girlfriend's home.
Basically any free time gets turned into cleaning and maintenance time.

I have around 100 adults and juveniles at this time, and a few hundred young fry. I have a betta barracks drip system that is filtered, heated, and UV Sterilized, that houses 96 bettas in half gallon containers, and gives them a gallon of new water every hour. I have to do water changes in it once a week. I syphon out the bottoms of each container in the system once a week, and usually change about half the water in the sump as well. I scrub each container out about once a month, to get off any algae that has grown (which isn't much), and just make sure its really clean. I also have a lot of fry/juvenile/female tanks that have to have water changes done at least once a week. I basicly spend my weekends being a slave to the bettas, LOL...

Hello all...I'm new here and wanted to say hello. I have...::Does head count:: 15 I love all of my babys! No girls though...I enjoy the boys more then the girls. Might have to look into some girls though. Only two of my fish are named. One is a navy blue crown tial...who got sick, I nursed him back to health then..one time changing his water...he jumped into my garbage disposable...Let me tell you..I wasn't happy. RIGHT out of the container I had him in...and into the sink. I was flipping out. I thought I was going to loose him...Got him back though..and he's doing great...sitting next to me actually. The other is Rainbow. My son dropped him at Walmart...and well. I couldn't just drop a fish and not buy him. So, here he is...in my living room!

I currently have six, all males. Most I've ever had was seven at once, six males and one female (whom I lost to dropsy--I hate Meijer's tropical tanks.) Thinking back, I've had TOTAL...lessee...Bert, Ernie, Navarre, Cookie, Paprika, Grover, Gus, Haku, Gypsy, Gemini, and Mercury. Of them, Ernie, Navarre, Paprika, Gypsy, and Gemini have gone to the big rice paddy in the sky, and the other six are due for their weekly cleaning today (I'm sure they're just thrilled. Of course Bert's been giving me dirty looks all week anyway. I'm not sure why, but then he's always been a crank.)

I am getting a 55 gallon tank for x-mas and I want to get some female bettas for that. If I get some, it will be at least 5 more.
